There are several Blog Talk Radio shows about Recruiting and HR these days.  How many is too many?  Or do we need more?  Do you have a favorite?  What makes a good show tick?  Chime in tonight on the #TNL (TalentNet Live) recruiting forum on Twitter

Join host Craig Fisher (@fishdogs) and special guests, Blog Talk Radio Recruiting/HR show hosts, The Recruiting Animal (@animal), Steve Boese (@steveboese), Bryan Wempen (@drivethruhr), Maha Akiki (@akiki).  Bill Boorman (billboorman) and Alan Whitford (@alanwhitford) will drop in if they are awake.

We will do separate #TNL with you Career and Job Search radio show hosts.  But I encourage you to please join in on this conversation to share what you think makes a good show.

Then we'll spend some time discussing your answers to the question, "What are your favorite new recruiting tools?".  So get ready to share your tips #TNL friends.

Finally we may have some super special announcements coming your way tonight.

Just go to http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23tnl to follow the chat.  Remember to add #tnl to your comments if you want to take part in the conversation.  You can also join the #TNL Twub http://twubs.com/tnl,  Or use tools like Tweetchat and Tweetgrid that will automatically populate your Tweets with #TNL.

This is going to be a really great #TNL, so don't miss it.  Hope to see you  there!  Cheers, CF

Please join the TalentNet Live Facebook community for future updates.

P.S. I am aware there is a shameless plug for both me and Animal in the form of the graphic included in this post.  Any possibility of self-promotion was completely intentional.

Where to Start in Social Recruiting

"If you could only have one social network to use as your main tool in recruiting, which one would it be?"  This question was deftly posed to the panel by Chris Hoyt, the ending keynote speaker for the event at which I presented last week.  I was on a Dinner with the panel, keynotes, and Jobing Product Manager Brett Farmiloe (@thatpassionguy) panel for Jobing.com's Spring Symposium with some colleagues, Marianthe Verver, Dennis Smith, and Mariannella Fuentes.  Immediately after Chris asked this, the opening keynote, Joel Cheesman, flashed what can only be described as an evil grin from the audience, as if he suspected Chris of lobbing soft balls to the panel.

Three out of four of us said LinkedIn would be our first choice, with Twitter being a close second.  Mariannella said Facebook because that platform works better for her kind of recruiting.

I had already sort of answered this same question a couple of weeks before in a wrap-up video after speaking to the DFWTRN at their March luncheon.
